One of  the best things to brag about, living in DC....the beautiful cherry blossoms.  Although there were only a few trees left, still in bloom - they were worth the 6 mile walk, down to the Tidal Basin.

Many great things happened today.  It started off with cheering on the half marathoners was fun.  I chose a spot at the top of the Connecticut Ave hill, so by the time they got to me they REALLY needed some support.  I was able to catch Julia briefly and Amy too (seen in flourecent coral color). I some how missed Alix, Bridget, Sophie and Ed...oh those speed demons.  I fought the crowds on the metro to get back to the finish line at RFK, only to have missed everyone. *sigh*  The rest of the day was spent enjoying the beautiful spring weather and celebrating st. patty's day at the new abode chez double J's. Such a beautiful home.

 Went to go see the DC Premier of "Surviving Progress," an amazing documentary, directed by Mathieu Roy and Harold Crooks....oh AND edited and music compiled by my brother MIKEY! I Met co-director Harold after the screening and he could not stop raving about how my brother was such a genius...so proud of you Mikey! No but really, please go see this film if it comes to your area, it is enlightening, inspiring and simply beautiful.

An ode to the 79 degree weather today! We ate outside, on my make-shift dining room table (created with a card board box for height, plastic container for support and a no entry sign for tabletop-age). Funny enough, it worked and it was perfect.

Cheers to being a good house-wife today! Ok, so I went on ridiculous cleaning spree...(I think the Spring weather inspired me), and I may have gone a little over-board at Target. Four hours later, not one dust bunny, paw print or fleck of dirt can be spotted. Getting ready to pick hubs up after his weekend in b-town.

Also, an absolutely beautiful day in DC.  Walked from Woodly, through Dupont, down to Georgetown and back up past the Cathedral to home. On the way up Wisconsin, I passed by a park and witnessed a truly amazing moment of a Dad teaching his son how to ride a bike. Priceless!
