Today was travel day. We finished the conference in the morning and I was able to get a to-go boxed lunch which I took with be to a cute little park near the hotel. Love that I can bask out in the sunlight rays with a tshirt, at the end of Feb here. Flight was quick, glad to be home!

Here is a view from my room at the W. So pretty! Today, was the awards presentation for Catering and Convention services. Although I did not win my particular category that I was nominated for, we won Catering and Convention Services team of the year for North America in 2011!!! Unfortunately I could not get a picture of it because we were all so excited and had to go onstage. The rest of the day was filled with work shops, and a really fun evening at SF Town Hall (with decadent food and drink), followed by a performance by Life House and a finale with Spazmatics....let's just say my feet have seen better days. One of the best parts of the night was being able to reconnect with Eva and Bonnie. Great, great times!

First day in SF was amazing. This city is so beautiful. We flew in late afternoon, are staying at the fabulous W SF. 70's and sunny, so perfect! It was great to see the Hawaiian crew and spend a nice "Family Dinner" out on the town...we went to Asia SF, a funky place with good food and GREAT entertainment.

Happy Love Day! Today was pretty great. I found out I was nominated for Convention Services Manager of the Year for North America, AND it was Valentine's Day, so I could spend the evening with my amazing husband. We made a delicious lobster risotto, with asparagus, a nice side salad and naturally some refreshing sauv. blanc to go with. He presented me with a package ticket for upcoming country music concerts this summer!! What a perfect gift. I am so spoiled and so lucky to have the best husband in the world!

So far, I have to say, I have been disappointed with the lack of snowmen and icicles in this town. All I keep hearing about is this CRAZY "Snow-mageddon" / "Snow-pocalypse" that hit DC 2 years ago. Yeah, yeah, it was the WORST...no one was prepared, people were stranded, the city shut down, bla bla bla. So this is my second winter here and nothing has been the least bit promising. Don't get me wrong, I am all about my sunshine, I'm hands-down a summer girl. BUT I am also an avid snow bunny and with these fall temperatures in the winter months, this bunny will see no slopes. Groundhog man said winter shall continue....until today, Groundhog man was on crazy pills. Today, the first glimpse of *real* winter slapped me in the face. Tears formed, the nose ran and all feeling was lost in my face. It was the kind of unexpected betch of a winter day that made crawling underneath my abnormally warm and fluffy duvet soo tempting, but I would not let the weather ruin my Sunday-Funday plans. Starting out with a hand-bell performance a-la-hubs, a boozy brunch with great company at the Beacon Hotel, a mile.5 walk home, and a fantastic dinner chez les Gills to finish it off, oh and don't forget the Grammy's.
Take THAT, unexpected arctic climate... PG Wins! Oh...and PS, is so thrilled you finally decided to show. :)

Such a great weekend so far. Last night went out to *Veritas* Wine Bar at Dupont for some good girly times and yummy wines...today started the day off with a long run followed by brunch with Sarah and Adam at *Founding Farmers* - bloody mary's to ~kick~ it all off, then straight to DC International Wine & Food Festival at the Ronald Reagan building. So as you would imagine, I cannot choose just ONE picture so yes I am cheating a little, sorry. Um, so spoiled in life.
