Spent the day relaxing, getting spoiled and fishing! 7 Pompano, 2 Spot and 5 Mullet were caught and eaten for dinner!

First night in Salvo, NC (Outer Banks) visiting Gill's grandparents. Loved going through their highschool year books and learning about their young love. Grandaddy, pictured in top, mentioned Granny (below) in his senior remarks.

We took a hike through Windsor Park, along these bridges and in the forest. Although muggy, the rain held out and made for a beautiful morning.

We explored the town of Smithfield today and found a perfect little Farmer's Market (where the people couldn't be nicer), and the "Isle of Wight" Town Hall. A Smithfieldian lady was excited to fill us in on all of the juicy details behind this historic hall, and I made Gill get into character so I could fully grasp what happened in this place.

Bonnie and I took a trip to the Aquatic Gardens in South West. An hour of adventurous driving got us there but it was worth it. Really a hidden gem. Serene and beautiful, filled with large lilies, lily pads and wild life.
